12” Blue Flex R8 used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The "R8" indicates its high thermal insulation value. The Quietflex Manufacturing AmgFlex™ 12 in. x 25 ft. Blue R8 Flexible Air Duct (part number 1288) is designed for use as a supply and return air duct in low-to-medium pressure HVAC systems.
- Diameter: 12 inches.
- Length: 25 feet.
- Insulation (R-Value): R8 fiberglass insulation, which offers greater thermal efficiency and energy savings compared to lower R-value options.
- Jacket Color: Blue, made of a metalized polyester vapor barrier with "rip-stop" scrim reinforcement to resist tearing.
- Core: Features an active antimicrobial inner core with Agion silver-based technology to inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi, mold, and mildew. The core is made of a coated woven cloth that will not unravel when cut.
- Material: Constructed from fiberglass, galvanized wire, and plastic (polyester) materials.
- Operating Temperature Range: Rated for continuous use from -20°F to 180°F, and intermittent use from -20°F to 200°F.
- Approvals: UL Listed/Approved to UL 181 Standard, meets NFPA 90A and 90B, and is GREENGUARD certified for indoor air quality.
- Performance: Rated for a maximum air velocity of 6000 FPM (feet per minute). A 12-inch flexible duct can handle a maximum capacity of around 450 cubic feet per minute (cfm)
