Design: A disposable, patented single-use tester.
The Color indicator paper starts as golden yellow.- Yellow (No Change): No inorganic acid detected; the system is clean.
- Light Pink/Slight Change: Trace amounts of acid present. Treatment with an acid neutralizer (like QwikShot) is recommended.
- Red: High acid levels detected. Requires an oil and filter-drier change, followed by acid treatment.
- Preparation: Do not remove the tester from its protective packaging until ready to use. Ensure the system is operating.
- Application: Press the valve core depressor into the center of the suction-side (vapor service) Schrader valve.
- Testing: Allow vapor to flow through the tester for 2 seconds.
- Verification: If no change occurs, hold for an additional 2 seconds to confirm the absence of acid.
